Delays, Delays, Delays..

So, after an excellent saturday in Bristol at the pleasure of Zoe, my train to Truro terminated at Plymouth, apparently due to the train in front being broken. Doesnt make much sense, really, but Luckily, I have some friends to keep me company while I wait for the next train...

The Real Ale Trail- The Boslowick Inn

A friendly, homely bar,a bit out of the way from fal/ryn, so you wont see too many students. Stocking courage ales, the directors is quite nice. Also serves sunday lunch, and the smells from the pub means gt would taste prettzg good! Xen.

Ooh, spooky trees

Yea, that'7 right

Real ail rail trail- the famous barrel

Ok pub, with a huge barrel for a door! Decent pint of sharps, well lit pool table, Nice beer garden, but an average pub overall

Real Ale Rail Trail- The Kings Arms

Ive realised after seven pints that Jim is an incredible beauty, and I want his babierp. Or so he says. Ok pub, lots of room in the back with a random, interesting selection of ales, the St Pirans is decent.

Real Ale Rail Trail - The Three Tuns

And to the first pub in Penryn! Strangely, no draft ales on, only Admiral Ale bottled. Had to settle for a pint of Guinness. The Tuns is better during term time with uni students around!

Real Ale Rail Trail - The Wig and Pen, Truro.

An alright pub, reasonable selection of ales (3) including the nice HSD. Occasionally over-run with chavs, this is a decent pint, and our 5/14. In order to jump ahead in the %stakes, Ben downed 2pints of 5% HSD, meaning he wins the Truro leg with 23.4%. To the train!

Real Ale Rail Trail - The City Inn

Dont let the outside decieve you, the inside is quite nice, with an excellent beer garden to the rear. Ales stocked are courage and skinners, courage best is a good one, try it!

Real Ale Rail Trail- Crab and Ale House

The crab and ale house to have a pint of Woodfordes Nog. The crab and ale is a pretty small local pub, with a quiet friendly atmosphere, the Nog is a
Dark ale, but actually light and deceptively drinkable!

Real ale trail- The Old Ale House

Next stop, the first pub in Truro for a pint of Stogs, medium pub, with not many ales on.

Real Ale Rail Trail Stop 1-The Royal Oak

After a quick breakfast in Oscars in Events square, we jumped straight on the train to Perranwell and then a quick 5minute walk to the Royal Oak, 10mins before opening! Time for a glass of water before the main event...

Mineral Exploration Roundup 2010

Vancouver. Not only a world class hybrid technical talk/seminar series, also a career fair type thing and also supermega beer-a-thon. This is one stand. There are lots more like it. Not only have i learned that free beer is good beer, and that blogging while walking and drinking can lead to almost falling down escalators, Ive also learned a hell of a lot about mining practice and economics. And want to live near vancouver. Soooo goood!
